Ahmed Bin Qasim is the son of political prisoners Ashiq Hussain Faktoo and Aasiya Andrabi. Faktoo is one of the longest-serving political prisoners in Kashmir. Ahmed was born in Srinagar in Indian Administered Kashmir and he is currently pursuing international relations and literature. He is also a spoken-word poet.
