Israel kills dozens in Gaza as aid lines turn into killing zones

Israel has killed over 30 desperate Palestinians seeking aid in northwest of Gaza City, according to WAFA correspondent.

He said that Israeli occupation soldiers fired at the desperate crowds of Palestinians seeking aid on Tuesday as they gathered at an aid distribution point to the northwest of the city, claiming the lives of over 30.

Earlier today, Israeli forces had fired at Palestinians seeking food aid in the cities of Khan Younes and Rafah in the southern Gaza with tank shells, machine guns and drones, killing more than 60 civilians and injuring approximately 200 others.

The besieged enclave has been suffering from a catastrophic humanitarian disaster since Israel closed all crossings on March 2, 2025, denying the entry of food, medicine, relief aid, and fuel to the enclave.

Hundreds march in Rome to protest against Israeli genocide in Gaza

Hundreds of people have marched to Israel’s embassy in Rome to protest against "Israeli terror" and genocide in Gaza.

They shouted "Stop the Israeli terror" and "Stop the genocide.”

"We are all anti-Zionists, we are all Palestinians," "Zionist Israel is a terrorist state," "Free Gaza, Free Palestine," the crowd also shouted.

Another protest was held in Milan’s Piazza Duomo, where demonstrators chanted "Free Gaza" while carrying Palestinian flags.

Pulitzer winner Mosab Abu Toha says Gaza has become 'collateral news'

"We were collateral damage. Now we are collateral news," wrote Mosab Abu Toha, the acclaimed Palestinian poet who earlier this year won a Pulitzer Prize for his searing essays chronicling the devastation of Gaza.

His words have drawn an indictment of how the world’s gaze has shifted elsewhere, even as death continues to rain down on a besieged population in Gaza.

As Israel and Iran edge closer to all-out war, Abu Toha is among a growing chorus of voices decrying the near-absence of international coverage on the horrors still unfolding in Gaza.

Debrief: Aid as Bait to Kill Gazans

Aid distribution centres in Gaza turned into death traps after Israel opened fire on starving civilians waiting to get humanitarian assistance. Details on this week’s Debrief.

Israel installs new blockades, restricting movement in Occupied West Bank

Israeli forces have installed new metal gates between Kifl Hares and Hares villages, northwest of the occupied West Bank city of Salfit.

According to WAFA correspondent, soldiers erected a new metal gate on Tuesday evening in the area between the two villages, effectively blocking the only road left for villagers to access the city of Salfit.

Israel has already sealed off the gates at the main entrances of Kifl Hares and Hares, severely restricting the movement of their residents.

Earlier today, forces installed a similar gate at the entrance of Deir Ballout town, west of Salfit.

UN chief condemns Israel's 'unacceptable' killing of aid seekers in Gaza

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has condemned Israel’s killing of Palestinians seeking aid in Gaza.

"The secretary general condemns the loss of lives and injuries of civilians in Gaza … once again being shot at while seeking food -- it is unacceptable," spokesperson Farhan Haq said, adding that the UN chief "continues to call for an immediate and independent investigation into all such reports and for accountability to be established."

Reaffirming that Israel, as the occupying power, has "clear obligations under international humanitarian law," Haq stated that Tel Aviv must "agree to and facilitate humanitarian relief for all civilians who need it.

"The basic needs of the Palestinian population in Gaza are enormous and remain unmet," he said, demanding that "the unimpeded entry of humanitarian assistance at scale must be restored immediately." Haq urged for the UN and all humanitarian actors to be "allowed to work in safety and security under conditions of full respect for humanitarian principles."

Gaza health system near total collapse as fuel, supplies run out: WHO

Gaza's health system is "at a breaking point," the World Health Organization has warned, as Israeli attacks, mass displacement, and blocked humanitarian access push medical services across the enclave toward collapse.

"As global attention shifts to escalating tensions between Iran and Israel, Gaza continues to be decimated - largely out of sight, but not out of danger," Richard Peeperkorn, WHO representative in the occupied Palestinian territory, told a UN briefing in Geneva.

Only 17 of Gaza's 36 hospitals are currently partially functional, with just four, including Nasser Medical Complex, serving as referral facilities.

Parts of Gaza without internet after cable cut: Palestinian Authority

Internet and fixed-line communication services were down in central and southern Gaza, the Palestinian Authority has said, as a result of damage to the territory's main fibre optic cable it blamed on Israel.

Its telecommunications ministry reported "a disruption in fixed internet services and landline communications in central and southern areas of Gaza due to a new outage on one of the main routes as a result of the ongoing (Israeli) aggression".

Internet and telecommunications were severed in all of Gaza for more than three days last week after telecoms workers were denied access to a damaged cable, the PA said.

Gaza march activists say participants in Egypt beaten, detained

Organisers of a march to the Egyptian border with Gaza said that three participants were abducted by plainclothes officers in Cairo amid a wave of arbitrary detentions, deportations and abuse by security forces.

In a statement, organisers claimed three international participants were forcibly taken from a Cairo cafe by security officers who did not identify themselves. Those named were Jonas Selhi and Huthayfa Abuserriya, both from Norway, and Saif Abukeshek, a Spanish citizen of Palestinian origin and one of the march's organisers.

The statement said that according to Selhi, all three men were blindfolded, beaten and interrogated. Abukeshek, he said, faced especially severe abuse. His whereabouts remain unknown, while Selhi and Abuserriya have since been deported to Norway, organisers said.
