
Larisa Jasarevic
Larisa Jasarevic is an anthropologist. Her current research concerns the ways in which bees and beekeepers in Bosnia weather the changing climate. She is especially interested in the meaning of bees in Bosnian Muslim culture and the ecological insights of Islamic eschatology. Her research findings are the subject of the book 'Beekeeping in the End Times' (IUP 2023) and documentary (in post-production). She is a fellow with the ISRF and a visiting scholar at the Max Planck Institute
