Trapped Palestinians in Rafah face Israeli genocidePalestinian civilians trapped in the Tel al-Sultan neighbourhood in western Rafah are facing genocide amid an Israeli onslaught in southern Gaza, municipal authorities warned. “Tel al-Sultan is subjected to genocide as thousands of civilians, including children, women, and elderly people, remain trapped under heavy Israeli bombardment with no means of escape,” the Rafah Municipality said in a statement. “Palestinian families are trapped among the rubble, without water, food, or medicine, amid a complete collapse of health services."

Two patients were killed and several people wounded when Israeli forces shelled the Nasser Medical Complex in the southern city of Khan Younis on Sunday night. “This attack constitutes a new war crime added to the record of repeated Israeli violations against civilians and medical facilities, in blatant disregard for the rules of international humanitarian law and international conventions that prohibit targeting hospitals and healthcare workers,” Muneer Alboursh, Director General of the Health Ministry, said in a statement.

30 Palestinians arrested in fresh Israeli raids in occupied West BankThe Israeli army detained at least 30 more Palestinians in fresh military raids in the occupied West Bank, according to prisoners’ affairs groups. A freed prisoner under a recent Gaza ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement was among the detainees in the raids that targeted several towns in the occupied West Bank, the Commission of Detainees’ Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoner Society said in a joint statement. The raids came as the Israeli army has continued a deadly military offensive in the northern West Bank since January, killing at least 70 Palestinians and displacing thousands.

Israel refuses to coordinate rescue operation for Palestinian paramedicsIsrael has refused to coordinate a rescue operation for paramedics stuck in Rafah in southern Gaza, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society said. In a statement, the agency said it lost contact with a team of paramedics in Rafah since early Sunday after Israeli forces besieged it amid a rescue mission. “We are still awaiting a greenlight (from Israel) to reach out to the team in Rafah,” it added. According to the organisation, several paramedics were injured, and four ambulances have been besieged by Israeli forces in the city.

Palestinian teen dies in Israeli prison A 17-year-old Palestinian detainee has died in Israeli detention, bringing the death toll of prisoners in Israeli jails to 63 since October 2023, prisoners’ affairs groups said. In a joint statement, the Commission of Detainees’ Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoner Society said the Civil Affairs Authority, the Palestinian Authority’s official liaison office with Israeli authorities, notified them of the death of prisoner Walid Ahmad in Israel’s Megiddo Prison. Detained as a minor, Ahmad hails from Silwad, a town east of Ramallah in the central occupied West Bank. The statement said Ahmad was apprehended by Israeli forces on September 30, 2024
