Israeli infantry crosses into southern Lebanon, enters Wazzani area in violation of ceasefire

An Israeli infantry unit crossed the border into southern Lebanon, entering recreational areas in the town of Wazzani, according to a report by Lebanon’s National News Agency (NNA).

“A hostile infantry unit crossed the border and entered the Wazzani park area,” the agency said in a brief statement, without elaborating further on the incursion or any ensuing response.

The latest incident follows an Israeli drone strike on Thursday that targeted construction equipment in Aita al-Shaab, another town along the tense Israel-Lebanon border.

Gaza 'hell on earth' as hospital supplies running out: ICRC

The president of the Red Cross described the humanitarian situation in Gaza as "hell on earth" and warned that its field hospital will run out of supplies within two weeks.

"We are now finding ourselves in a situation that I have to describe as hell on earth ...People don't have access to water, electricity, food, in many parts," Mirjana Spoljaric told Reuters at the headquarters of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Geneva.

No new humanitarian supplies have entered the Palestinian enclave since Israel blocked the entry of aid trucks on March 2, as talks stalled on the next stage of a now-broken truce. Israel resumed its military assault on March 18.

Arab-Islamic meeting reaffirms rejection of Gaza displacement, calls for ceasefire

A meeting of the Arab-Islamic committee on Gaza, held in Antalya, Türkiye, once again rejected any attempt to forcibly displace the population of Gaza and called for an immediate ceasefire in the region, according to official statements from participating countries.

The meeting addressed "developments in Gaza, intensifying joint efforts to confront all Israeli violations of international law and humanitarian law, as well as serious violations against the Palestinian people, and rejecting all attempts of displacement, including those created by policies that make life unbearable for the Palestinian people as an attempt at forced displacement."
