The latest Israeli air strikes on Gaza killed at least 26 more Palestinians, bringing the death toll in its genocidal war since October 2023 to 50,912, the Health Ministry said.

A ministry statement said another 106 injured were taken to hospitals in the last 24 hours, bringing the number of wounded in the onslaught to 115,981.

Türkiye's foreign minister underlined the urgent need for a permanent ceasefire in Gaza, stressing that no plan forcing the Palestinians to leave their homeland is at all acceptable.

"We reject any plan that forces Palestinians to abandon their homeland," Hakan Fidan said after a meeting of the Gaza Contact Group in the southern Turkish city of Antalya under the title “Two-State Solution and Lasting Peace in the Middle East.”

Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and the urgent entry of humanitarian aid to alleviate the suffering of civilians.

Speaking at a press conference following a meeting of the Arab-Islamic Ministerial Committee on Gaza, held on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum in Türkiye, Mustafa stressed the critical need for a halt to hostilities.

Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan said that the kingdom firmly rejects any attempts to forcibly relocate Palestinians from Gaza, regardless of the pretext.

“We categorically reject the displacement of the Palestinian people from Gaza under any slogan,” Prince Faisal told a press conference after the Gaza Contact Group meeting held on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum in Türkiye.

Egyptian and Qatari efforts are continuing on a daily basis to broker a ceasefire and prisoner exchange deal between Israel and Hamas in Gaza, Egypt's Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty said.

“We are working every day in coordination with our Qatari counterparts to finalise an agreement that would bring relief to both sides, especially the civilians,” Abdelatty told a press conference on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum in Türkiye.

US fighter jets carried out new air strikes targeting residential and agricultural zones in Yemen’s capital Sanaa, according to Houthi-run Al-Masirah TV.

The attacks reportedly struck multiple sites across the capital. Five consecutive strikes hit the Bani Hashish district, east of Sanaa, causing significant damage to public and private property.

A temporary committee will take over the Gaza administration for 6 months until the Palestinian Authority can take control, Egypt's foreign minister has said at the Antalya Diplomacy Forum.

Egyptian and Qatari efforts are ongoing to finalise a prisoner exchange deal in Gaza, the minister added.

The United Nations' human rights office has warned that Israel's actions in Gaza are increasingly endangering the existence of Palestinians as a group.

"In light of the cumulative impact of Israeli forces conduct in Gaza, we are seriously concerned that Israel appears to be inflicting on Palestinians in Gaza conditions of life increasingly incompatible with their continued existence as a group," Ravina Shamdasani, the spokesperson for the office of the High Commissioner of Human Rights told reporters in Geneva

Medicine stocks are critically low due to Israel’s aid block in Gaza, making it hard to keep hospitals even partially operational, the World Health Organization has said.

"We are critically low in our three warehouses on antibiotics, IV fluids and blood bags," WHO official Rik Peeperkorn told reporters in Geneva via video link from the occupied East Jerusalem.

The UN agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA) warned that nearly 400,000 people have been displaced across Gaza since the collapse of the January ceasefire.

In a statement on X, the agency said, “It is estimated that nearly 400,000 people have been displaced in Gaza following the breakdown of the ceasefire,” noting that “they are now also enduring by far the longest blockage of aid and commercial supplies since the start of the war.”

UNRWA reiterated its urgent call for the resumption of the truce to prevent further suffering.
