Clashes escalate at anti-government protests in Serbia

Supporters of the ruling Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) threw flares and fire crackers at anti-government protesters in the city of Novi Sad on August 13, prompting police to intervene to end the standoff.

Meanwhile in the capital Belgrade, protesters clashed with police who prevented them from approaching the SNS offices.
