Istanbul's taxi drivers took to the streets to show their frustration with Uber. Uber does not face problems in just Turkey, but also has similar troubles in Greece and in the United Kingdom. (AA) / AA

In Turkey's largest city, Istanbul, the rivalry between drivers of traditional yellow taxis and Uber cars has turned violent. 

The licensed yellow taxi operators are seeking a ban on the ride-hailing app, which helps connect passengers with the closest ride available.
