US strikes hit Houthi stronghold in Yemen's SanaaStrikes hit a Houthi stronghold in the Yemeni capital of Sanaa, residents have said. Houthi-affiliated media has also reported fresh US strikes in the north of Yemen's capital and outskirts of Saada city. The strikes hit a neighbourhood close to the capital's airport, the residents said.

Trump threatens Houthis with annihilationUS President Donald Trump has said that Iran must completely halt any assistance it is allegedly supplying to Yemen's Houthi group, vowing to destroy it. Trump said reports suggest that Tehran has lessened its support for the Houthis, but said Iran is "still sending large levels of supplies." It is unclear if the president is referring to reports from his officials, or the media.

UN chief 'deeply saddened' about killing of aid worker in Israeli attack UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has expressed "deep" sorrow for the killing of UN aid workers in an Israeli attack that targeted a UN facility in central Gaza. "The Secretary-General was deeply saddened and shocked to learn of the death of a United Nations Office for Project Services staff member when two UN guesthouses in Deir al Balah were hit in strikes," according to a statement by his spokesperson's office. Noting that five UN workers were critically injured, it said: "The locations of all UN premises are known to the parties to the conflict, who are bound by international law to protect them and maintain their absolute inviolability."

Doctors Without Borders calls for Gaza ceasefire to be immediately restoredDoctors Without Borders (MSF) has urged Israel to restore the ceasefire in Gaza by avoiding "its campaign of destruction and the nightmarish, massive bombing." MSF is "horrified" by the attacks launched by Israel, breaking a two-month-old ceasefire and killing hundreds, Claire Magone, general director for MSF France, said in a statement. Magone said that MSF received 75 dead on arrival and scores of wounded in just three of the facilities it supports.

Speaking to Anadolu during a ceremony marking the anniversary of the UNIFIL establishment in Naqoura, south Lebanon, spokesman Andrea Tenenti said Israeli airstrikes and the ongoing occupation of Lebanese territory violate not only UN Security Council Resolution 1701 but also Lebanon’s sovereignty.

Israel threatens Palestinians in Gaza Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz issued a "last warning" to Palestinians, saying in a video statement that they should follow the advice of US President Donald Trump and return Israeli hostages. "Residents of Gaza, this is the last warning," Katz said. "Take the advice of the President of the United States. Return the hostages and remove Hamas, and other options will open up for you—including the possibility of leaving for other places in the world for those who want to."

Israel blocks key street to Netazarim corridorThe Israeli army closed Salah al-Din Street, a route designated by Israel for safe passage from northern Gaza to the south, in the latest violation of a ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement with Hamas, Israeli media said. The closure “is an additional means of pressure" on Hamas and Palestinians, the Israeli daily Yedioth Ahronoth reported.
