New Israeli strikes on Gaza 'dramatic step backwards': MacronIsrael's resumption of strikes on Gaza is a major step in the wrong direction after its ceasefire with Hamas earlier this year, President Emmanuel Macron said alongside Jordan's King Abdullah II. "The resumption of Israeli strikes yesterday, despite the efforts of mediators, represents a dramatic step backwards," Macron said ahead of talks in Paris with Abdullah. "It's dramatic for the Palestinians of Gaza, who are again plunged into the terror of bombardment, and dramatic for the (Israeli) hostages and their families who live in the nightmare of uncertainty."

Israeli actions in Gaza reflect its 'inherent weakness to face truth': Indian opposition lawmakerIsraeli actions in Gaza reflect an "inherent weakness and inability to face their own truth," a top Indian opposition politician said as Israel launched a renewed assault on the besieged coastal enclave of Palestine. “The cold blooded murder of over 400 innocent civilians including 130 children by the Israeli government, shows that humanity means nothing to them,” Indian parliamentarian and senior leader of the main opposition Congress party, Priyanka Gandhi, said on X, as the Israeli army pounded Gaza early Tuesday, killing more than 400 people. "Whether western powers choose to recognise this or to acknowledge their collusion in the genocide of the Palestinian people or not,” Gandhi said, adding: “all citizens of the world who have a conscience (including many Israelis), see it.” Gandhi said the more “criminally the Israeli government acts,” the more they “reveal themselves for the cowards they truly are.”
