Houthi group reports two new US air strikes in northern YemenUS warplanes staged two air strikes on the outskirts of Saada province in northern Yemen on Sunday evening, the Houthi group has said. The Houthi-run Al-Masirah TV reported the strikes without giving any details about injuries or damage. There was no immediate comment from the US on the report.

Palestinian president accuses Israel of using water as weapon to displace people in GazaPalestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has accused Israel of using water as a “weapon of war” to displace Palestinians from Gaza. “The (Israeli) occupation used another weapon to increase suffering, displacement, and indeed the slow death of our people, by halting all basic services, especially water, and preventing access to humanitarian aid in flagrant contravention of international human rights conventions and international resolutions,” Abbas said in a speech marking World Water Day. Abbas called on the international community to take "practical and radical steps” to find just solutions regarding the exacerbating water crisis in Gaza, the official news agency Wafa reported.

US claims kills "key" Houthi leaders in Yemen strikesA US military campaign of strikes in Yemen launched just over a week ago has so far taken out key Houthi leadership, including the group's top missile specialist, White House National Security Advisor Mike Waltz has claimed. The US military has so far released few details about the attacks, launched after Houthi threats to renew its attacks on Red Sea shipping over Israel's war on Gaza. "We've hit their headquarters, we've hit communications nodes, weapons factories, and even some of their over-the-water drone production facilities," Waltz told CBS News. Waltz did not identify the slain missile specialist and gave no details on the other leaders who have been killed.

Lebanon reports Israeli cross-border incursion despite ceasefireIsraeli military vehicles breached a border fence with Lebanon and conducted bulldozing actions before withdrawing from the area, the Lebanese army has said. A military statement said the cross-border incursion targeted the Qatmoun Valley near Rmeish in Nabatieh province. The army condemned the Israeli military incursion as a “flagrant violation” of UN Security Council Resolution 1701 and a ceasefire agreement.

Thousands protest in Jerusalem against attempts to dismiss Israeli attorney generalThousands of Israelis demonstrated outside Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office in west Jerusalem against efforts to dismiss Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara and Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar. According to the Israeli newspaper Haaretz, demonstrators marched from Gaza Street, where Netanyahu’s official residence is located, to his office, where the government was meeting to vote on Justice Minister Yariv Levin’s proposal to withdraw confidence from Baharav-Miara.
