Israeli evacuation orders now cover 14% of Gaza: UNIsrael's evacuation orders now cover an estimated 14 percent of Gaza, the UN has said, amid a new wave of devastating airstrikes that have killed hundreds in recent days.
"Yesterday, Israeli authorities also issued a new evacuation order in Rafah, covering about 2 percent of the enclave and affecting five neighbourhoods," Spokesperson Stephane Dujarric told reporters.
"With this latest directive, the overall area designed for evacuation in the past week covers an estimated 14 percent of Gaza, along with vast 'no go' zones along the borders and Netzarim corridor," he added.
