The Houthi group in Yemen announced that US air strikes on the northern provinces of Omran and Saada have resulted in the "complete destruction" of communication stations.

A statement issued by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology of the Houthi government, which is not internationally recognized, said that the US air strikes "targeted communication networks in the Black Mountain area in Omran Governorate with five air strikes, and also targeted the communication network in the al-Lubda area in Saada Governorate with several airstrikes.”

The attacks resulted in the "total destruction" of broadcasting stations, communication towers, and messaging networks in these areas, it added.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan spoke over the phone with his Palestinian counterpart Mahmoud Abbas and discussed the ongoing Israeli attacks on Palestine as well as regional and global issues.

“Drawing attention to the deteriorating humanitarian crisis in Gaza due to the re-escalation in Israel’s attacks, President Erdogan stressed that Palestinians can overcome this process only by acting in unity,” a statement from Türkiye’s Communications Directorate said.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani spoke over the phone and discussed bilateral ties and regional developments, including Israel’s attacks in Gaza, Lebanon, and Syria.

“Noting that Eid al-Fitr is being met with a heavy heart due to Israel’s attacks and oppressions in Gaza, Lebanon and Syria, President Erdogan stressed that Türkiye will continue to do its utmost to stop the bloodshed and sufferings and help the innocents,” Túrkiye’s Communications Directorate said in a statement.

Israeli air strikes across various areas of Gaza killed 13 Palestinians, including a child, and left several others injured, just before the Eid al Fitr holiday.

In one of the latest attacks, six Palestinians were killed in an Israeli artillery strike that targeted a house in the town of Abasan al-Kabira, east of Khan Younis in southern Gaza, according to medical sources.

Türkiye has condemned Israel’s air strikes on Lebanon, attacks in violation of a ceasefire deal.

“We stand with the people of Lebanon,” the Foreign Ministry said, denouncing the attacks as evidence of Israel’s disregard for international law and threat to regional stability.

The health ministry in Gaza has said that 921 people have been killed in the Palestinian territory since Israel resumed its relentless strikes on March 18.

According to the ministry's statement, the figure includes 25 people killed in the past 24 hours.

It also reported that the overall death toll had reached 50,277 since Israel’s brutal war on Gaza after October 7, 2023.

US air strikes hit Yemen overnight into Saturday, killing at least one person, as the American military confirmed bombing a key Houthi-controlled military site in Sanaa.

The full extent of damage and casualties remains unclear, following particularly intense air strikes on Friday since the offensive began on March 15.

The Yemeni Houthi group said the US carried out 69 raids across Yemen — the highest in a single day since Washington initiated attacks on Houthi-controlled areas in mid-March.

Houthi-run Al-Masirah TV said warplanes conducted 26 raids by the afternoon on the capital, Sanaa, and the Al-Jawf and Saada provinces.

It added that raids in Saada province left one civilian killed and three wounded.

Since Donald Trump's inauguration, the US has intensified its immigration crackdown. While some faced penalties for voicing opinions on the Gaza war, others were detained or deported for various reasons.

Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty and his Saudi counterpart Faisal bin Farhan discussed the ongoing Israeli genocide in Gaza and the future moves to stop the war.

A statement from the Egyptian Foreign Ministry said that Abdelatty and bin Farhan had a phone conversation to follow up on the outcomes of the Cairo-hosted meetings of the Arab-Islamic Ministerial Committee on Gaza.

They also discussed the future moves for the committee with the relevant international parties.
