At least 20 Palestinians, including 10 children, were killed and several others injured since early Sunday in Israeli air strikes across northern and southern Gaza on the first day of Eid al Fitr.

Witnesses told Anadolu that Israeli air strikes targeted homes, a tent shelter and civilian vehicles in Gaza City, Jabalia in the north and Khan Younis in the south.

Yemen's Houthis said they engaged the US aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman and accompanying warships three times within 24 hours in the Red Sea.

In a televised statement, Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree said: "Our armed forces have engaged the American aircraft carrier Truman and its allied warships in the Red Sea three times in the past 24 hours."

He said the attacks involved "multiple cruise missiles and drones".

Palestinians across the occupied West Bank performed Eid al Fitr prayers amid ongoing Israeli military aggression, particularly attacks on refugee camps in the northern region.

Worshippers gathered in mosques and public squares across cities and towns in the occupied West Bank, which continues to face intensified illegal settlement expansion and displacement efforts.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has claimed that Israel’s intensified military pressure on Hamas in Gaza has been effective, stressing the Palestinian group must lay down its arms.

"Hamas must lay down its arms... Its leaders will be allowed to leave," Netanyahu said in a cabinet meeting.

The Israeli army has said that it had successfully intercepted a missile launched from Yemen before it could breach Israeli airspace.

In a statement, the army said, "The air force intercepted a missile launched from Yemen," adding that it "was intercepted before it entered Israeli airspace."

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will visit Hungary on April 2, his office has announced, defying an International Criminal Court (ICC) arrest warrant issued over war crimes in Gaza.

During his visit, Netanyahu is set to hold talks with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban and other senior Hungarian officials before returning to Israel on April 6.

The Palestinian death toll in Gaza has reached 50,277, with 114,095 others wounded, following over 17 months of Israel's genocidal war, Gaza health authorities have said.

In the last 24 hours alone, Israeli air strikes and ground operations killed 26 Palestinians and wounded 70 others, with some victims still trapped under rubble, the health authorities reported.

Since March 18, Israel's decision to resume its military campaign in Gaza has resulted in the deaths of 921 Palestinians and left 2,054 people wounded in the besieged enclave.

The Israeli military has said it activated air raid sirens across multiple areas of the country after the launch of a projectile from Yemen.

The sirens were activated in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv and some other central areas of the country, where AFP journalists later reported the sound of several muted explosions.
