Israel arrests four Palestinians in occupied West Bank

Israeli forces have arrested four citizens from the occupied West Bank’s Nablus, including a journalist, at dawn.

WAFA reported that occupation jeeps stormed several neighbourhoods in the eastern, western and central parts of the city, raided several homes, ransacked their contents, and arrested four citizens: journalist Samer Khuwaira from Asira Street, Imad Halawa from the Aqaba neighbourhood inside the Old City, Amr Mahmoud Jumaa Abu Al-Raz from Al-Ain refugee camp in the west, and Muhammad Al-Fares from the popular housing area in the east.

US ‘should not give another nickel’ to Netanyahu: Senator

US Senator Bernie Sanders has reiterated his call to end US military support to Israel in its war in Gaza.

“I feel very strongly that the United States government should not give another nickel to the Netanyahu extremist government that has killed over 50,000 people in Gaza and wounded over 110,000," Sanders told a CNN town hall moderated by the news channel’s anchor, Anderson Cooper.

Last week, the US Senate rejected two resolutions that Sanders introduced to block nearly $9 billion in military assistance to Israel.

Yemen's Houthis say 16 people killed in US air strikes

Yemen's Houthi group said that at least 16 people were killed in US air strikes.

The Houthi-run Al-Masirah television network reported that the strikes targeted areas of Hodeida and the capital Sanaa.

A strike hit al-Hawak district in Hudaida, killing 13 people, most of them women and children, according to the report.

In Sanaa, multiple air strikes targeted the Rajam area in the Bani Hushaysh district and the al-Nahdayn area in the Al-Sabeen district, killing three people.

40 states to participate in ICJ public hearings on Israel

Representatives of 40 states and four international organisations say they intend to join public hearings on Israel's obligations in the occupied Palestinian territory that are expected to be held at the International Court of Justice (ICJ), the court said.

In a statement, the ICJ said they would hold public hearings "on the request for an advisory opinion on the Obligations of Israel in relation to the Presence and Activities of the United Nations, Other International Organizations and Third States in and in relation to the Occupied Palestinian Territory" from April 28 to May 2.

"Forty States and four international organisations have expressed their intention to participate in the oral proceedings before the Court," said the statement.

Israeli foreign minister slams France's plan to recognise Palestinian state

Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar denounced a plan by France to recognise a Palestinian state, claiming that it would be a "reward for terrorism."

"A 'unilateral recognition' of a fictional Palestinian state, by any country, in the reality that we all know, will be a prize for terror and a boost for Hamas," wrote Saar on X.

Israeli army wounds 14 Palestinians in raid on Balata refugee camp in West Bank

At least 14 Palestinians were wounded by Israeli army gunfire, and dozens suffocated from tear gas during a raid on the Balata refugee camp in the occupied West Bank.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced in a statement that medical teams at the Rafidia Government Hospital in Nablus have been treating "14 gunshot injuries from the occupation, including two in critical condition and seven in moderate condition."

CAIR urges investigation after Palestinian-American teen killed by Israel

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) called for an investigation into the killing of 14-year-old Palestinian-American Amer Mohammed Saada Rabee by Israeli forces in the occupied West Bank.

"Amer Rabee's killers must be held accountable," said CAIR-New Jersey Director Selaedin Maksut, urging Congress to demand an investigation.

"America is not only supplying the weapons that kill Americans abroad, it is aiding and abetting Israel's impunity in war crimes and human rights violations."

2 municipal council members in Switzerland resign over rejection of aid to Gaza

Two municipal council members in Switzerland's canton of Fribourg resigned in protest after it rejected financial aid to Palestine.

Rana Bassil and Gerald Collaud stepped down after the Council voted not to provide humanitarian aid to Palestinians through the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).

Bassil lambasted the "unacceptable" decision.

At least 38 Palestinians killed as Israeli jets bomb residential building in Gaza City

At least 38 Palestinians were killed, including women and children, and scores were wounded in Israeli air strikes on a residential building in the Shejaiya neighbourhood in Gaza City, as Tel Aviv's deadly onslaught on the enclave continued unabated, medics said.

Civil Defence spokesperson Mahmoud Basal said eight women and eight children were among the victims, while more than 85 people were also wounded, including many in critical condition.

He said 34 people remain missing under the rubble of the targeted building, including several women and children.
