Hamas releases footage of hostage wounded in Israeli bombardment

Hamas has released footage of an Israeli-Russian hostage wounded in an Israeli bombardment on Gaza as 11 Palestinians, including three infants, were killed in an Israeli strike on the territory, its civil defence agency said.

Israel resumed major offensives across Gaza on March 18.

The health ministry said at least 2,396 people have been killed since Israel resumed its attacks in Gaza, bringing the overall death toll from the war to 52,495.

Israel carries three drone strikes in southern Lebanon

Israel has carried out three more drone strikes on southern Lebanon, continuing the latest violations of the ceasefire agreement in effect since November 27, 2024.

According to Lebanon’s National News Agency (NNA), the Israeli army targeted a vehicle with a drone in the village of Kfarkila in the Marjayoun district.

Israel accuses mediator Qatar of 'playing both sides'

Israel called on Qatar, a key mediator between Israel and Hamas, to "stop playing both sides with its double talk and decide if it's on the side of civilisation or if it's on the side of Hamas," the Israeli Prime Minister's office said.

There was no immediate comment from Qatar.

US carries 17 air strikes in Yemen: Houthis

Yemen's Houthi group has claimed that US forces conducted 17 air strikes targeting various areas of the country as regional tensions remained high.

According to the group’s Saba News Agency, a local source reported that one of the strikes hit the Bani Hashish district in Sanaa province.

The source added that seven strikes targeted the Khab wa Ash Shaaf district in Al-Jawf province but did not provide further details regarding casualties or damage.

Medical supplies will only last one more week: Kuwait Hospital

Kuwait Specialised Hospital in Rafah in southern Gaza warned that it may be forced to cease operations, announcing that its medical supplies are expected to last just one more week.

“Due to the ongoing Israeli aggression and the closure of crossings, the health system is on the verge of collapse,” the hospital stated.

It revealed that more than 75 percent of essential medications are now unavailable in its stores, severely undermining the ability of medical staff to provide critical treatment.

57 Palestinians dead from starvation amid Israeli blockade

At least 57 Palestinians have died from starvation since October 7, 2023, due to Israel’s ongoing blockade of Gaza, according to the Government Media Office in Gaza.

“The number of victims of the starvation policy has risen to 57 martyrs, and the toll is likely to increase amid the continued closure of crossings and the ban on the entry of food, infant formula, nutritional supplements, and dozens of essential medications,” warned the office in a statement.

Earlier, a medical source told Anadolu that a child had died from malnutrition and dehydration at Al-Rantisi Children's Hospital in Gaza City.

UN envoy urges Israel to cease attacks on Syria 'at once'

United Nations special envoy for Syria Geir Pedersen urged Israel to immediately stop its attacks, after the Israeli military said it struck Syrian military sites overnight, the latest such raids.

"I strongly condemn Israel's continued and escalating violations of Syria's sovereignty, including multiple air strikes in Damascus and other cities," Pedersen said in a post on X, adding: "I call for these attacks to cease at once and for Israel to stop endangering Syrian civilians and to respect international law and Syria's sovereignty, unity, territorial integrity and independence."

Gaza death toll nears 52,500 as Israel continues its genocidal war

At least 52,495 Palestinians have been killed in Israel’s genocidal war since October 2023, the Health Ministry said.

A ministry statement said that 77 people were killed in Israeli attacks in the enclave in the last 48 hours, while 275 others were injured, taking the number of injuries to 118,366 in the Israeli onslaught.

“Many victims are still trapped under the rubble and on the roads as rescuers are unable to reach them,” it added.

Israeli strikes kill 29 Palestinians in southern Gaza, including infant

At least 29 Palestinians, including an infant, were killed in multiple Israeli attacks across Gaza.

According to medical sources speaking to Anadolu, ten bodies were recovered from beneath the rubble of the al-Ghattas family home in Gaza City following a pre-dawn Israeli air strike.

A medical source told Anadolu that 11 people were killed and several others injured when Israeli warplanes bombed the home of the Al-Bayram family in the city of Khan Younis. Elsewhere in the same city, a Palestinian infant was killed when Israeli forces shelled a tent sheltering displaced people near the city of Asdaa, west of Khan Younis.

Palestinian child dies of malnutrition, dehydration in Gaza as siege-induced famine deepens

A Palestinian girl died Saturday at Al-Rantisi Hospital in Gaza City due to severe malnutrition and dehydration as Israel maintains a crippling blockade that has cut off food, water, and medical aid to the population for over two months.

A medical source told Anadolu that the child, Janan Saleh Al-Saqafi, passed away as a direct result of starvation and lack of clean water.
