Origin of the word ‘Paki’ and Britain’s racist past
The term ‘Paki’ is a derogatory ethnic slur originating from the United Kingdom. It has been directed towards people of Pakistani and South Asian descent, as well as Muslims or those perceived as such. The use of this word is associated with a dark history of racism, including violent attacks known as ‘Paki-bashing.’
