Israel approves plans to resume Gaza war if truce talks fail Israeli army chief Eyal Zamir has approved new military plans for resuming the war on Gaza if ceasefire negotiations collapsed, Israeli media has said The plans were ratified by Zamir during his visit to the army’s Southern Command on Thursday, the Israeli public broadcaster KAN reported. The new plans include intensifying air strikes, expanding ground offensives, and expelling Palestinians from northern Gaza, in addition to the call-up of hundreds of thousands of reserve soldiers, the broadcaster said.
