Israel releases thirty Palestinian prisoners

Israel has released around 30 Palestinian prisoners after they completed their sentences, but many were in critical health conditions, with some requiring immediate hospitalisation.

The Palestinian Prisoner Society has said in a statement that many of the freed detainees, particularly those from Megiddo Prison in northern Israel, were suffering from scabies and other medical complications due to harsh prison conditions.

Photos shared by the organisation showed visible signs of severe mistreatment and neglect.

Israel kills 29 Palestinians in fresh strikes

At least 29 Palestinians were killed in fresh Israeli air strikes on Gaza amid a deadly onslaught on the enclave, medics said.

One Palestinian was killed and others were wounded in an Israeli air strike near Al-Mashrou Roundabout, east of Rafah in southern Gaza, according to medical sources.

Two Palestinians were killed and several others wounded when an Israeli warplane bombed a tent sheltering displaced people near the regional junction in Al-Mawasi, Khan Younis, in southern Gaza.

Shortly before that, Israeli warplanes targeted a house belonging to the Omran family in the town of Al-Fukhari, east of Khan Younis, resulting in the deaths of two Palestinians and multiple injuries.

Israeli warplanes struck a home in the Al-Saftawi neighbourhood north of Gaza City, leaving seven people dead, a medical source said.

Palestinian Red Crescent recovers paramedic's body in Rafah, 8 still missing

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said that its teams successfully entered Tel al-Sultan in Rafah, southern Gaza, and retrieved the body of a paramedic who was among nine medics trapped in the area following an Israeli siege five days ago.

In a statement, the organisation said after five days of coordination attempts, its teams — accompanied by the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) — managed to reach Tel al-Sultan, where Israeli forces had besieged and targeted medical crews.

US Senator Sanders to force Senate votes on blocking arms for Israel

US Senator Bernie Sanders said he would force votes next week on resolutions that would block $8.8 billion in arms sales to Israel, citing the human rights crisis faced by Palestinians in Gaza after Israel's bombardment of the enclave and its suspension of aid deliveries.

Yemen's Houthis report fresh US air strikes

US warplanes launched a series of air strikes on Yemen, the Houthi group reported.

"An American aggression targeted the Jarban area in Sanhan District, Sanaa (Governorate), with four air strikes," said the Houthi-affiliated Al-Masirah TV, without providing further details.
