Israeli air strikes kill at least 41 Palestinians on 2nd day of Eid

The Israeli army carried out air strikes across Gaza on Monday, the second day of the Muslim festival of Eid al Fitr, killing at least 41 people, sources and officials said.

In the latest strikes, three Palestinians were killed and others wounded in an Israeli attack that targeted the Hamadeh family's home on Yafa Street in the Al-Tuffah neighbourhood, east of Gaza City, a medical source told Anadolu.

Two more Palestinians, including a woman, were killed in a strike targeting a group of civilians in the Al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza.

Meanwhile, a Palestinian was killed and another injured in an Israeli strike on a transport vehicle in the city of Rafah, which had been issued an evacuation warning by the Israeli army just hours earlier.

Earlier in the day, 35 Palestinians, including children, were killed in the air strikes in various areas. Among them, 17 were killed in attacks on homes and tents sheltering displaced persons in Khan Younis, and eight others were targeted in central Gaza. Ten others were killed overnight and early Monday in strikes on three inhabited homes in Khan Younis.

On Sunday, the first day of Eid, 64 Palestinians were killed in Israeli attacks across the territory.

Trump says 'real pain is yet to come' for Houthis, Iran

US President Donald Trump warned Yemen's Houthis to halt attacks on shipping, or else they and their Iranian backers would face "real pain" from fresh air strikes.

Palestinian presidency warns against displacement in Rafah

The Palestinian presidency warned of dangers posed by Israel's forced evacuation orders in Rafah, southern Gaza, urging the global community to uphold its responsibilities in defence of international law and humanitarian conventions.

In a statement reported by the official Palestinian news agency Wafa, the presidency warned against "the grave danger of the recent Israeli orders for the forced evacuation of the entire city of Rafah".

It said that "internal displacement is condemned and rejected, and is a violation of international law just like calls for external displacement".

Israel outlines 'four fundamental differences' with Hamas on truce terms

Israel has outlined what it calls "four fundamental differences" with the Palestinian group Hamas over proposals to renew the ceasefire in Gaza, which collapsed after Israel resumed military operations on March 18.

According to informed sources cited by Israeli public broadcaster KAN, both sides disagree on when to begin discussions on the second phase of the ceasefire deal originally signed on January 19, which was supposed to lead to a permanent end to hostilities.

The second point of contention centers on Hamas's demand for the release of a large number of Palestinian prisoners held in Israeli jails — a condition Israel rejects.

Third, Hamas is calling for a full Israeli military withdrawal from Gaza as part of any deal. Israel has refused to accept this term.

The fourth major difference involves Hamas's insistence that Israel commit to not resuming the war, along with international guarantees to uphold this commitment.

Tel Aviv has also rejected this demand.

Gaza authorities warn against Israeli crimes in Rafah following evacuation orders

Palestinian authorities in Gaza warned against possible Israeli crimes in Rafah, southern Gaza, following the Israeli army's evacuation orders and intensified attacks.

In a statement, the Interior Ministry said Israeli threats would "exacerbate the already catastrophic conditions" the people are enduring in Gaza, warning against "intensification of crimes against the Palestinian people".

The statement urged the international community and mediators to "urgently intervene and pressure Israel to stop the evacuation orders" and attempts to displace the Palestinian people from Gaza.

Rejecting genocide in Gaza is not anti-Semitism: Turkish vice president

Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz slammed Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar's recent remarks shared in a tweet.

His comments came in response to a post by Sa'ar about Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

"The discomfort and disrespect directed toward our President are rooted in their fear of the truth being spoken clearly," Yilmaz wrote on X.

He underlined that Türkiye's civilisation has never been anti-Semitic, urging those seeking anti-Semitism to "look at European history".

"Rejecting the occupation, genocide and ethnic cleansing policies of Netanyahu's government is not anti-Semitism," Yilmaz said. "On the contrary, the true cause of the rising anti-Semitism worldwide is the inhumane aggression carried out by the Israeli government."
