Israeli army kills Palestinian man in Nablus raid

The Israeli army has killed a young Palestinian man during a raid in the Old City area of Nablus in the northern occupied West Bank.

The official Palestinian news agency Wafa quoted medical sources as saying that Hamza al Khammash, 33, succumbed to the wounds he sustained from Israeli fire in Nablus.

The news agency reported that the Israeli forces raided Nablus' Old City area, broke into the house of al Khammash, and opened fire on him at close range.

He was taken to the hospital but shortly announced dead, it added.

Israeli air strikes in Gaza kill at least 15, including children

Gaza's civil defence agency has said that Israeli air strikes on two homes in the war-ravaged Palestinian territory killed at least 15 people, including children.

"Thirteen martyrs, including children, were killed at dawn when occupation forces (the Israeli army) bombed a house sheltering displaced people in central Khan Younis, in southern Gaza," civil defence spokesman Mahmud Bassal told AFP, adding two other people were killed in an Israeli strike on a house in the Nuseirat camp, in central Gaza.

Israel announces large-scale invasion to seize more Gaza land

Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz has announced a significant expansion of the military invasion in Gaza, saying large areas of the enclave would be seized and added to the security zones of Israel.

In a statement, Katz stated that there would be a large-scale evacuation of Palestinians from areas of active fighting and urged Gaza residents to eliminate Hamas and return Israeli hostages as the only way to end the war.

However, he did not make clear how much land Israel intended to seize.

It has already set up a significant buffer zone within Gaza, expanding an area that existed around the edges of the enclave before the war and adding a large security area in the so-called Netzarim corridor through the middle of Gaza.

Israel kills 13 Palestinians on final day of Eid al-Fitr

Israel has killed three Palestinians and wounded several others in a series of raids, targeting central and southern Gaza and bringing the death toll on the third and final day of Eid al-Fitr to 13, including a journalist and his family.

One Palestinian was killed when Israeli warplanes struck a tent sheltering displaced people in Deir al-Balah in central Gaza, medical sources told Anadolu.

In Khan Younis in southern Gaza, a strike wounded several civilians, while a separate raid hit an evacuated house in the city, though no casualties were reported, witnesses told Anadolu.

Earlier, artillery fire killed another Palestinian in the Al-Qarara area north of Khan Younis, and Israeli naval forces injured two more on the city’s beachfront, according to medical sources.

In Rafah in southern Gaza, medics confirmed that a resident succumbed to wounds from Israeli gunfire.

Throughout Tuesday’s early hours and daytime, 10 Palestinians including journalist Mohammed Al-Bardaweel, his wife and their three children perished in strikes across Gaza. A predawn raid on their home in Khan Younis claimed the family, medics said.

Witnesses reported heavy fire from Israeli forces east of Gaza City and Jabalia in the north, signaling intensified operations.

Gaza is 'the most dangerous place' in the world for humanitarians — UK

Britain’s Foreign Secretary has highlighted the perilous conditions faced by aid workers in Gaza, calling it the “most dangerous place in the world" for those providing humanitarian support.

David Lammy’s remarks came amid the ongoing strikes in the enclave, where more than 400 aid workers have been killed by Israel since the start of the genocide in Gaza.

During a session at the House of Commons, Lammy said he pressed Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar last month to expedite an investigation by the Military Advocate General into an attack on a World Central Kitchen convoy in April last year that resulted in the deaths of several aid workers.

He stressed the importance of holding those responsible accountable and of ensuring justice for the victims.

"We need to see lasting safety improvements for aid workers on the ground, and that would be a fitting legacy for those British individuals who have lost their lives," he added.

"The American attack, which targeted the water management building in the district of al-Mansouriyah in the governorate of Hudaida with several strikes on Tuesday resulted in three deaths and two injuries, mostly employees," the spokesman for the Houthi Health Minister Anees Alasbahi said, adding it was a preliminary toll.

Local press earlier reported that American strikes targeted several, including water infrastructure in Hudaida as well as three strikes in the region of Hajjah in the northwest. Strikes also hit Saada in the north.

US sends second aircraft carrier in Middle East amid Gaza genocide

US increases number of aircraft carriers deployed in Middle East to two, keeping one that is already there and sending another from Asia-Pacific, says Pentagon, as Israel continues its genocide in Gaza and tensions with Iran escalate.

The Harry S. Truman will be joined by the Carl Vinson "to continue promoting regional stability, deter aggression, and protect the free flow of commerce in the region," Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell says in a statement.

At least four B-2 bombers have relocated to a US-British military base on the Indian Ocean island of Diego Garcia, according to US officials, speaking on condition of anonymity. That's close enough to reach Yemen or Iran, experts say.

All WFP-backed bakeries in Gaza close due to the Israeli blockade

The UN World Food Program (WFP) has announced that all bakeries it supports in impoverished and war-devastated Gaza were forced to shut down due to the continued Israeli closure of the crossings, depriving the Palestinians in Gaza of basic food and aid items.

"All 25 WFP-supported bakeries in Gaza have shut down due to lack of fuel and flour," WFP said in a statement on X.

It also warned that its hot meal program for people in Gaza will only "last two weeks maximum."

"WFP will distribute its last food parcels in the next two days," the UN organisation added.
