ICC legislative body asks Hungary to fulfil obligations

The Presidency of the Assembly of States Parties to the Rome Statute sent a letter to Hungary, reminding Budapest of the International Criminal Court (ICC) arrest warrant against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for crimes against humanity, referring to the killings of over 50,000 Palestinians in Gaza.

Sharing the letter on X, Paivi Kaukoranta, head of the assembly, stated that she sent a letter to Hungary on March 31 reminding all state parties of their obligations under the Rome Statute to arrest and surrender anyone subject to an ICC arrest warrant.

Death toll from Israeli strike on Gaza school rises to 29

At least 29 people were killed in an Israeli air strike on a school sheltering displaced civilians in Gaza City, local authorities said.

Gaza’s government media office said 18 children and one woman were among the victims, and more than 100 people were injured in the attack that targeted the Dar Al-Arqam School, where hundreds of civilians have taken refuge in the Tuffah neighbourhood.

Gaza rescuers say 25 killed in Israeli strike on school-turned-shelter

Palestinian civil defence agency in Gaza said at least 25 people were killed in an Israeli air strike on a school serving as a shelter for people displaced by the Israeli genocidal war on the besieged enclave.

Agency spokesman Mahmud Bassal told AFP the death toll had risen to 25, with more than 100 others wounded in the strike on Dar al-Arqam School in the Al-Tuffah neighbourhood, northeast of Gaza City.

Houthis say US drone downed in western Yemen as tensions escalate

The Yemeni Houthi group claimed to have shot down a US drone in western Yemen and attacked US Navy ships in the Red Sea, as Washington escalated its air strikes on the country.

Israeli warplanes dropped leaflets on the town of Koya in southern Syria’s Daraa province, warning of the presence of “gunmen” in the area, witnesses said.

According to the witnesses, the leaflets warned against the movement of gunmen in the town, who Israel claimed were crossing the road leading to the Yarmouk Valley separating the two sides.
