The Israeli army ordered evacuations from multiple neighbourhoods in the southern city of Khan Younis, warning of imminent attacks in the area near the Morag Axis, which separates the city from Rafah.

Army spokesperson Avichay Adraee issued a statement ordering residents in several neighbourhoods to relocate to "shelter centres in the Al-Mawasi area", west of the city, which has also been under repeated Israeli strikes that have killed civilians, mostly women and children.

"To all residents of the Gaza Strip in the southeastern areas of Khan Younis, in the neighbourhoods of: Qizan an-Najjar, Qizan Abu Rashwan, Al-Salam, Al-Manara, Qaa al-Qurain, Ma'an, Batn al-Samin, Jouret al-Lout, Al-Fukhari and the southern neighbourhoods of Bani Suheila — this is a prior and final warning before the attack," Adraee said.

"You must immediately move westward to the Al-Mawasi area. We will launch a powerful attack on any area from which rockets are fired," he added.

The CEO of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) called for an end to attacks on humanitarian workers worldwide, mentioning in particular the problems in getting aid to embattled Gaza.

"Getting humanitarian assistance to Gaza has been very, very difficult, and for the last more than a month, no aid has been entering the country," Jagan Chapagain told Anadolu during Türkiye's Antalya Diplomacy Forum, taking place this weekend.

Israel halted the entry of all humanitarian aid to Gaza on March 2.

"We have asked, really, that ... killings of the humanitarian workers must stop everywhere in the world," he said, adding: "Fundamental principles and international emergency law must be respected."

An Israeli soldier was seriously injured after a landmine explosion occurred along the Lebanon border, according to the Israeli army and media outlets.

The Israeli army said in a brief statement: "A reserve soldier was seriously injured earlier today during operational activity in the Lebanon border area."

Israeli Channel 12 reported that the soldier was injured after he accidentally entered an Israeli army minefield in the region along with a military unit.

The Israeli army announced that it has completed the siege of Rafah, and finished establishing the Morag Corridor, isolating Rafah from Khan Younis in southern Gaza.

In a statement, the Israeli army said: "Forces of the 36th Division have completed the encirclement of Rafah."

It added that in the past 24 hours, troops "completed opening the Morag Corridor, which cuts through southern Gaza between Rafah and Khan Younis".

The Israeli army claimed that it had intercepted three rockets launched from Gaza toward illegal settlements near the enclave, with no reported casualties.

In a statement, the Israeli army said that after alerts were activated in open areas surrounding Gaza, "the Air Force intercepted three rockets launched from the Gaza Strip, and no injuries were reported".

Israeli media outlet Yedioth Ahronoth reported that the rockets were fired from Khan Younis in southern Gaza toward the Israeli settlements of Nir Yitzhak, Sufa and Hulit, along the Gaza border.

Most military sites belonging to Hezbollah in southern Lebanon have been placed under Lebanese army control, a source close to the group said.

"Out of 265 Hezbollah military positions identified south of the Litani, the movement has ceded about 190 to the army," the source said on condition of anonymity.

A November 27 ceasefire agreement stipulated that only UN peacekeepers and Lebanon's army should be deployed in the country's south. Under the ceasefire, Israel was to complete its troop withdrawal from Lebanon by February 18 after missing a January deadline, but it has maintained occupation in five places it deems strategic.

The Gaza government's media office warned that Israel has turned water into a slow-kill weapon systematically denying Palestinians in Gaza access to clean water and exacerbating the humanitarian crisis in the enclave.

In a statement, the media office described Israel's actions as part of "a broader strategy of collective punishment".

The office condemned the continued interruption of water supplies, including the severing of crucial water lines, destruction of wells and water stations, and the cutting of electricity and fuel supplies needed to operate water and sanitation facilities.

It highlighted Israel's recent disruption of two key water lines from the Israeli company Mekorot, which supply more than 35,000 cubic metres (over 1.2 million cubic feet) of water daily to over 700,000 Palestinians in the eastern and central regions of Gaza.

Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz announced that the military plans to expand its ongoing offensive across much of Gaza, warning Palestinians to evacuate from "active combat zones".

"Soon, IDF (army) operations will intensify and expand to other areas throughout most of Gaza, and you will need to evacuate the combat zones," Katz said in a statement addressed to residents of Gaza.

He also announced that troops had completed the takeover of a corridor in the southern part of the territory.

Israeli air strikes on Gaza killed at least 21 more Palestinians, bringing the death toll from Israel's war since October 2023 to 50,933, the Health Ministry in the besieged enclave said.

A ministry statement said that 64 more injured people were transferred to hospitals in the last 24 hours, taking the number of injuries to 116,045 in the Israeli onslaught.

"Many victims are still trapped under the rubble and on the roads as rescuers are unable to reach them," it added.
