Over 1,600 Israeli military veterans and 170 intelligence programme graduates have signed letters demanding a prisoner swap 'even at the cost of ending the Gaza war', according to Israeli media reports.
Three Palestinians were wounded by the Israeli forces which raided a refugee camp in the central occupied West Bank.
A medical source told Anadolu that the three Palestinians were wounded by live ammunition when the Israeli army raided the Jalazone refugee camp in northern Ramallah.
Eyewitnesses told Anadolu that the Israeli forces carried out a military operation in the Jalazone camp, during which they stormed into several homes and shops and also detained several people.
Two hundred Israeli military doctors have signed a petition demanding the return of hostages from Gaza, even if it means ending the ongoing war in the Palestinian enclave, according to a report by Israel’s Channel 13.
“We, the reserve doctors in the various units in the Israeli army, demand the immediate return of the captives and an end to the fighting in Gaza,” the doctors wrote in the petition.
The petition reflects mounting frustration within Israeli ranks, with the doctors emphasising that the war has strayed from its stated goals.
Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz threatened to further shrink and isolate Gaza as carnage continues in the blockaded enclave.
"Gaza will become smaller and more isolated, and more and more of its residents will be forced to evacuate from the fighting zones," Katz said in a post on his X account.
Yemen's Houthi group claimed responsibility for three attacks on Israeli targets.
Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree said the group targeted Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv and the Sdot Micha Air Base in central Israel with ballistic missiles.
Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan called for the US to be better informed about Israel's attacks on Gaza and the risks of the ongoing war.
"So far, the continuation of the current genocide has been made possible through US support, particularly due to the policies initiated during (former US President Joe) Biden's term. (US President Donald) Trump, during his time in office, contributed to the establishment of a ceasefire through his efforts," Fidan said.
More than 250 former officials from Israeli intelligence agency Mossad released a new petition calling for an immediate end to the war in Gaza to facilitate the release of all hostages, according to Israeli media.
The petition adds to a growing wave of public dissent within Israel's security establishment. Since Thursday, at least six petitions have been signed by reservists, retired officers, and veterans from various branches of the Israeli military.
Yemen's Houthis said that a US strike in Sanaa province had killed five people and wounded more than a dozen others.
"The death toll from the US aggression on the Al-Sawari factory in the Matna area of Bani Matar has risen to 18, including five martyrs and 13 wounded, in a preliminary toll," the group said in a statement.
