US will help Palestinians in Gaza 'get some food': Trump

President Donald Trump has said the US would help the people of Gaza "get some food" as Israel's refusal to allow aid to enter the coastal enclave has continued for over two months.

"We're going to help them get some food. A lot of people are making it very, very bad," Trump told reporters at the White House.

Israel's prohibition on the delivery of humanitarian assistance to Gaza has continued for 64 days as hunger yet again grips the territory.

Trump did not offer his views on Israel's operations. He made the comments to reporters in the Oval Office.

Death toll from Israel's fresh strikes on Gaza mounts to 44

The Israeli army killed at least 44 more Palestinians in fresh air strikes across Gaza as the Israeli genocide continued unabated.

In the latest Israeli air strikes, six Palestinians were killed and 21 others injured in an Israeli bombing that targeted the Al-Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, according to medical sources.

Israel demolishes Palestinian hamlet in the occupied West Bank

Israeli military bulldozers demolished most of a Palestinian Bedouin village in the occupied West Bank, taking out the hamlet’s infrastructure and leaving residents wandering amid the rubble of their homes.

The bulldozers rolled into Khalet Al-Dab in the morning, taking down most of the village’s structures, said Basel Adra, a filmmaker, journalist and activist from the area.

Nine homes, five tents and five animal pens were demolished, said Mohammed Rabia, head of the village council in the area.

Palestinians have long said that securing Israeli permission to build in the occupied West Bank is nearly impossible.

'Silent but lethal bomb': UN warns Israel is weaponising water to destroy Gaza, its people

Nearly 70 percent of Gaza’s water infrastructure has been destroyed by Israeli forces, leaving 2.1 million Palestinians with either minimal access to water or water that is dangerously contaminated, a UN official says.

Israel's Netanyahu dragging US into 'disaster': Iran

Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of attempting to drag the United States into "disaster" in the Middle East.

"Netanyahu is directly meddling within the US government to drag it into another disaster in our region," Araghchi said on X.

Araghchi also accused Netanyahu of "attempting to brazenly DICTATE what President (Donald) Trump can and cannot do in his diplomacy with Iran". Iran's top diplomat cited US support for Israel’s war on Gaza. It also referred to the US strikes Houthi in Yemen.

US Senator Sanders decries Israel's 'despicable' Gaza policies

Independent US Senator Bernie Sanders has sharply denounced Israel's ongoing blockade of besieged Gaza and its plan to greatly expand the war and occupy the coastal enclave.

"64 days with no aid reaching Gaza. No food, no water, no medicine. Children are starving," Sanders said in a statement posted on X.

"Netanyahu’s extremist government now says it will occupy Gaza and put mercenaries in charge of distributing aid, instead of the UN and other aid groups. Despicable. No more US support for Netanyahu’s war machine."

Mutliple US-Israeli strikes hit Yemen's Hudaida: Houthis

Yemen's Houthis have reported a wave of air strikes on the port city of Hudaida, blaming US and Israeli forces for the attack, a day after firing a missile at Israel's main airport.

"US-Israeli aggression targets with six strikes the port of Hudaida", on Yemen's western coast, said Houthis, also reporting "US-Israeli aggression on the Bajil district" in the same province.

Meanwhile, an Israeli official has confirmed that Israeli warplanes struck Yemen.

Expanded Gaza operation includes displacing Palestinians: Israeli army

The Israeli army said its planned expanded offensive in Gaza, approved by the country's security cabinet, included "moving most of the population" of the Palestinian territory.

"The operation will include a broad attack, including moving most of the population of Gaza. This is to protect them in a sterile area away from Hamas," army spokesperson Brigadier General Effie Defrin said.

Israeli demonstrators clash with police in Jerusalem amid anti-war protests

Clashes erupted between Israeli demonstrators and police in Jerusalem amid protests over Israel’s continued onslaught on Gaza.

According to Israeli Channel 12, the violence erupted as anti-government protesters marched to the Knesset (Israel’s parliament) building.

Israeli police forcibly evacuated protesters who blocked a road leading to the Knesset building and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office, the broadcaster said.

UN chief 'alarmed' over Israeli plans to deepen Gaza occupation

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has conveyed his concern over reports of a planned expansion of Israel's occupation in Gaza, warning of more deaths of civilians and more destruction.

"I can tell you that the secretary-general is alarmed by these reports of Israeli plans to expand ground operations and prolong its military presence in Gaza," his spokesperson, Farhan Haq, told a news conference. Stressing that Israel's reported plans "will inevitably lead to countless more civilians killed and the further destruction of Gaza," he added: "What's imperative now is an end to the violence, not more civilian deaths and destruction."

"Gaza is, and must remain, an integral part of a future Palestinian state," he said, reiterating Guterres' call for an immediate and permanent ceasefire as well as the release of all hostages.
