Gaza death toll tops 50,800 as Israeli attacks kill 58 more Palestinians

At least 58 more Palestinians have been killed in Israeli air strikes in Gaza, pushing up the overall death toll from Israel’s genocidal war since October 2023 to 50,810, the Health Ministry said.

A ministry statement said that 213 more injured people were also transferred to hospitals in the last 24 hours, taking the number of injuries to 115,688 in the Israeli onslaught.

Erdogan: Fueling tensions in Gaza with expansionist intentions will not benefit anyone

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that Ankara believes efforts to "fuel tensions in Gaza" and "pursue new maps with expansionist intentions" will not benefit anyone.

“We will continue to stand firm and voice the truth against oppressors, just as we have against the pressures of the global Zionist lobby,” Erdogan said at the AK Party’s extended provincial heads meeting in Ankara.

He condemned the Israeli violence in Gaza, calling it "blatant banditry," citing reports of ambulances being shot at and medical staff executed. He emphasised that these acts constitute "clear war crimes" and denounced Israel's actions in the region.

1,700 millionaires left Israel amid Gaza war: Report

At least 1,700 millionaires left Israel last year due to deteriorating economic conditions in the wake of the Gaza war, Israeli media said.

Figures released by Henley & Partners firm, a British-based global leader in immigration services, and New World Wealth, a South-Africa-based data intelligence firm, showed that there were 22,600 millionaires living in Tel Aviv and Herzliya in central Israel in 2024, down from 24,300 in 2023.

"This means no fewer than 1,700 millionaires departed Israel over the past year,” Henley & Partners said.

Israeli army arrests 35 more Palestinians in West Bank raids

The Israeli army rounded up at least 35 more Palestinians in fresh military raids in the occupied West Bank, according to prisoners’ affairs groups.

The arrests took place in several towns and areas in the West Bank, the Commission of Detainees’ Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoner Society said in a joint statement. During the raids, Israeli army forces stormed several Palestinian homes, vandalised properties, and interrogated dozens of people, the statement said.

Gaza cancer treatment lifeline cut as Türkiye-funded hospital destroyed in Israeli strike

Cancer patients in Gaza are struggling to access treatment after the Israeli army destroyed the Turkish-Palestinian Friendship Hospital on March 21.

The hospital, built by the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency between 2011 and 2017 along the Netzarim Corridor, was Gaza’s primary facility for cancer care. Its destruction has left a critical gap in treatment. Patients are now forced to rely on the Gaza European Hospital in Khan Yunis, where resources are limited and transportation remains a major challenge.

Houthis report 22 more US air strikes across Yemen

US warplanes have launched another 22 air strikes across Yemen, the Houthi group said. Al-Masirah TV said six air strikes targeted Sanhan district and five others in Bani Hashish district, northern Saada province.

Nine more strikes hit three areas in the central Marib province and two in the coastal province of Hudaida.

Israel shoots dead Palestinian women in occupied West Bank

A Palestinian woman was shot dead by Israeli forces in the occupied West Bank, the Health Ministry said. A ministry statement said that a 30-year-old woman was killed near Salfit City in the northern West Bank. Eyewitnesses said Israeli forces opened fire on the woman at a military checkpoint near Haris town, west of Salfit city, and prevented medics from reaching the site.
