Israeli army claims to have killed senior Hamas commander in Gaza

The Israeli army has claimed to have killed a senior commander within the armed wing of the Palestinian group in a strike on Gaza City a few days ago.

In a military statement, cited by the Times of Israel news portal, the Israeli army and the internal security service (Shin Bet) killed Mahmoud Abu Hisirah, identifying him as a close aide to Izz ad-Din Haddad, commander of the Al-Qassam's Gaza Brigade.

Haddad survived several Israeli assassination attempts during the ongoing war and before, according to Israeli media.

Israeli army kills 13 more Palestinians in strikes on homes as Gaza genocide persists

At least 13 more Palestinians have been killed in deadly Israeli strikes on civilian homes in Gaza City as Israel continues its genocide, defying international calls for a ceasefire.

The official Palestinian news agency Wafa quoted medical sources as saying that 10 Palestinians were killed in a single deadly air strike on a home for the "Hassouna" family in the Al-Nafaq Street area in central Gaza City.

Three more civilians were killed in an Israeli strike on a home in the Al-Tuffah neighbourhood in eastern Gaza City, the sources also said.

Meanwhile, overnight heavy artillery shelling was reported on the Abasan town east of Khan Younis in southern Gaza, according to local sources.

Illegal Israeli settlers break into Joseph tomb site in northern occupied West Bank

Hundreds of illegal Israeli settlers have raided the Joseph tomb site, eastern Nablus city, the northern occupied West Bank.

The Palestinian state news agency Wafa quoted local sources as saying the settlers raided the tomb site under heavy protection of the Israeli forces and performed Talmudic rituals at the site.

It also said the settlers were escorted by their leaders, including Zvi Sukkot, a Knesset member notoriously known for his anti-Palestinian rhetoric, and Yossi Dagan, in charge of settlements in the northern occupied West Bank.

In parallel, the Israeli army stormed into the eastern area of Nablus and deployed its snipers on top of the buildings near the Joseph tomb site and destroyed nearby roads leading to the site, the Palestinian broadcaster added.

Medical aid agency Doctors Without Borders (MSF) has accused Israel of blocking essential aid to Gaza, saying there was nowhere safe for Palestinians or those trying to help them.

"Gaza has been turned into a mass grave of Palestinians and those coming to their assistance," said Amande Bazerolle, MSF's emergency coordinator there.

US Secretary of State, Jordan's prime minister discuss Gaza, West Bank

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio met with Jordanian Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Jafar Hassan to discuss regional developments and bilateral cooperation, according to a statement from the State Department.

The two discussed the situation in Gaza and the West Bank as well as cooperation in "advancing regional security."

Israeli strikes kill 6 Palestinians in Gaza

The Israeli military bombed tents housing displaced people and a residential apartment in Gaza City, killing six Palestinians and wounding several others, medics told the Anadolu Agency.

In the first strike, a drone attack on a tent sheltering displaced people west of Gaza City killed one Palestinian and wounded another. 

A second strike hit an apartment near Al-Saraya junction in central Gaza City, killing two people, including an elderly woman.

In a third attack, an air strike on a tent inside Yarmouk Stadium, which shelters thousands of displaced families, killed three Palestinians and wounded seven others.
