Video footage of a man who wrestled a 12-year old panda bear in a Chinese zoo has gone viral.

The incident took place last Thursday after the man broke into the zoo enclosure in the south eastern province of Jiangxi, China.

The wrestling of the two continued for more than five minutes.

He then fled the enclosure and escaped without injury.

Zoo authorities say the panda was in all probability just playing with the man.
